Week Three.
All the new things I’m learning!  First aid, flag signalling, basic seamanship and how to properly board and disembark a ship…to think about it, none of this is actually that new. PT0 is this week, I hope I start strong.

Shipmates for life, or that’s what we’re learning.  We are all links in the chain and we have to work together to get the ancor in place.  Confidence cources, team building, and physical training! Early mornings are a way of life.

Week One.
I’m in Great Lakes, IL, scared shitless of all the crazy new things that are going on. I have a lot of paperwork to fill out, I’m tired, and I’m getting stuck with giant needles.  It may seem like a bad camp experience, but it’s the start of something great.

Life is to short to not do what you want to do.
I got asked last night why I no longer believe in anything.  It’s almost pointless to believe in anything if you don’t believe in an afterlife.  We just die, so if I go to heaven or hell, it doesn’t matter, because I’m decomposing in the ground.
